The mission of St. Petersburg College is to empower students and the community to achieve success and economic mobility through academic excellence and engagement.
The Innovation Lab is located in the Seminole Community Library @ St. Petersburg College! [Makerspace @ SPC] It is a collaborative learning environment, oftentimes referred to as a “technology playground”, where people of all ages and with common interests (e.g., science, technology, engineering, digital arts, and math — STEAM) can meet, socialize and/or collaborate while sharing innovative ideas and learning new skills. There are no judgments, no grades, and it is encouraged to color outside the lines and to make beautiful mistakes.
We work with the team of the iLab through “Gadgets for Good”, an E-Recycling collection program that funds a part of the technology used in the iLab and provides computers to kids and families from the community.
